Toronto Beach Chorale

On the eve prior to the first day of December, the threat of the first winter storm of the season could not deter the Beach community and music fans from filling the pews at the inaugural concert for the newly formed Toronto Beach Chorale held at Kingston Road United Church on Nov 30th.

It was a concert full of traditional favourites, including Cantata #140 - "Wachet Auf!" by J.S. Bach, and a Christmas suite of seasonal music by John Rutter. The chorale was conducted by Mervin Fick. Special guest soloists included Janet Obermeyer (soprano), Michael Downie (bass), Sean Clark (tenor) and Orchestra.

I'm pleased that we were able to continue Sharon and Larry's annual outdoor November family portraits, even if it was only for 5 chilly minutes to get the shot! It's amazing the few minutes of distraction (and warmth) that jumping jacks and rice crispy squares will provide...

Last month, I shot a wedding photo booth at the Toronto Botanical Gardens for the talented and charismatic Catherine Farquharson (www.Documentographer.com).

How could it not be a grand success when the bride and groom supplied a multitude of props and had a superb group of photogenic guests!
