I am passionate about photography but I also truly enjoy meeting new, interesting and good people like Mervin Fick, a multi talented choral conductor, organist, chorister, and soloist. For Mervin who lives and breathes classical music on a daily basis, his request (understandably) was for a nice and quiet shoot. Ironically without any background music from the stereo this was my quietest studio shoot to date. The shutter clicks and flash bulbs provided the 'four on the floor' backbeat.
It was only a few weeks ago that I met and did the shoot for Mervin and the Toronto Beach Chorale at their inaugural Christmas concert. Mervin's gift to himself this year was new headshots and here are some of my personal favourites from the portrait session:
