Promise - Hanami

Promise ambient cherry blossom party on Sunday May 3, 2009 in High Park Toronto.

It was my first time visiting the flowering cherry tree grove in High park and I was thoroughly impressed! The trees were absolutely beautiful and cast a wonderful soft glow on the hillside. Who would have guessed that there's a hanami party in TO! The cherry trees turned 50 this year. All the trees along the hillside were planted in 1959 donated by Toru-Hagiwara (former Japanese ambassador to Canada).
